Special Handling

We pride ourselves in coming up with innovative, unique solutions to your logistical problems. We have done on-site packing, designed and purchased specific crating for a reverse logistics program, installed and removed original artwork, followed very specific routing instructions to coordinate with installation crews, and many other things, on a daily basis, as requested by our customers. Tell us what your needs are and we will work together to develop a program that effectively meets those requirements.

 

Blanket Wrap

We are specialists in handling unpacked items. We will securely pad each piece of equipment or furniture in high quality moving pads, then secure in our truck for transit across town, or across the country. Each of our trucks is equipped with the e-trac cargo control system, enabling us to strap freight down for damage free transit. Commodities we have handled through our blanket wrap service include new store fixtures, medical equipment, aircraft parts, tanning beds, artwork, tradeshow exhibits, office furniture, computers, and other electronic devices.

 

Air Ride

When your shipment requires “air-ride” transportation, call FTS! We are one of the few expeditors to own and operate 24′ straight trucks equipped with air-ride suspensions. Also, all our tractor/trailer units are air-ride equipped.

 

Liftgate

All of our 24′ straight trucks are equipped with liftgates, enabling us to pickup or deliver from virtually any location. Our drivers will utilize pallet jacks to move material into or out of our customers’ locations. Uncrating and debris removal is also available. Should additional manpower be required, we will send the appropriate amount of labor to the jobsite. The last thing you will see one of our drivers do is move freight to the back of a truck and tell your customer “here it is”.
